that all gas appliances are correctly installed by qualified fitters and serviced
on a regular basis to guard against carbon monoxide.
All businesses, whether employers or self employed persons who undertake gas work on fittings supplied by natural gas or liquid petroleum gas (LPG) must be registered.
Regulations require landlords to have all gas appliances, which are fitted into their properties, serviced by a CORGI registered installer every twelve months. Landlords are also legally required to keep a record of safety checks and must provide it on request. If you are in any doubt ask to see that written proof.
Corgi is the body given the responsibility by the Health and Safety Executive to maintain a register of competent gas installers in the United Kingdom.
